I’m a big fan of kitchen gadgets, in fact I have quite a few. When we first started keto life, the hubs was talking about getting an air fryer. Guess what I said… We would never use it.
Hi, I’m Kari and I. WAS. WRONG! Yes dear, you win. I was wrong. I couldn’t get past “fryer”.
We bought one and knowing what I know now, we made a major error. We went small because we didn’t think we would use it. I have learned the error of my ways and have seen the light!
If you are thinking about an airfryer… go big. Trust me. We went on the cheap for our first one and it didn’t last long. We upgraded to the Gowise and it was a good investment. My only complaint was that the basket finish comes off and it looks a little rough.
The other thing is, when we would make things and they would touch. Before you judge let me explain. I am a Polly Prissy Pants and all around picky human. I don’t like when the hubs puts BBQ (vom) sauce on things and it touches mine.
We also both like to use the air fryer and would often have to take turns and ultimately one of us was waiting for the other to finish so we could eat.
The Ninja Foodi Dual Zone Air Fryer
I had been drooling over the Ninja Foodi Dual Zone Air Fryer. It’s in every ad and it GORGEOUS. This baby has his and hers drawers. That’s what I call them. Marriage savers.
You can cook your own things, cook things at the same time, or even pick the smart cook feature so they finish at the same time #thatswhatshesaid.
We use our air fryer for so much. I make pizza chaffles, chicken thighs, spaghetti squash, wings and I even bake Quest Bars in it. If you haven’t tried this, you’re missing out.
It’s great to cook in, but the Ninja Foodi has some other features that your standard air fryer doesn’t like broil, reheat, dehydrate and bake.
If you’re the only one using it you probably don’t need this many features, but can you imagine making nuggets for the kids and heating your food at the same time?
I’ve been using my 6 in1 air fryer for a month and I will tell you I feel like the cleaning is easier and overall it’s more sturdy that my previous one.
One word of warning: it is big. Like, it’s-going-to-live-on-your-counter-big. It’s also expensive, but we waited for Cyber Monday sales. It’s a luxury and not a need, so if it doesn’t fit in the budget right now, I think it’s worth saving for.
We all have things we like, I like to share when I find something that works well for us and makes things easier. Can you cook all these things with a different air fryer? 100% yes. I just am so happy to have something where my Polly Prissy Pants doesn’t have to have my food touching the hubs gross sauces.
Yeah, I said it. Marriage Saver!
